Why Choose Ideal Family Chiropractic?

Pediatric Specialization: Dr. Tyler isn’t just a chiropractor; he’s a pediatric-trained specialist who understands the unique needs of your children. With gentle, precise adjustments, he can help address a variety of pediatric health concerns, from common childhood ailments such as coughs, colds, and ear infections to more complex neurological issues such as anxiety, emotional meltdowns, Autism, OCD, and focusing struggles.

Webster Certification for Prenatal Care: This certification, obtained through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), equips him with specialized techniques to care for pregnant women. These adjustments not only aim to reduce discomfort during pregnancy but also to optimize pelvic alignment, potentially making childbirth smoother and less stressful.

Why Nervous System Scanning?

INSiGHT Scanning is a special, safe technology approved by NASA that helps us understand how well your nervous system is working. It’s like getting a detailed health check-up for your nerves, and it only takes about 10-15 minutes without any harmful radiation. Here’s how it works:

Heart Rate Variability (HRV): HRV measures how well your body can handle stress. It’s like looking at how your body's internal "gas and brake pedals" are working together. If they're not in sync, it might mean your nerves are having a hard time managing stress, a condition we call dysautonomia.

Electromyography (EMG): This checks if the nerves that help you hold your posture are working too hard or not enough while you're sitting still. If the energy use is out of balance, it’s a sign of dysponesis, which means your posture nerves aren’t functioning optimally.

Thermography: By measuring your skin's temperature, we can tell how well the nerves are functioning that control your body’s blood vessels and internal organs. If your body thinks it's running away from a bear (in high alert, fight or flight) we’ll see changes in skin temperature. Uneven temperatures or warmer/cooler spots along the spine can signal dysautonomia.

These scans give us a clear picture of your nervous system's health, allowing us to tailor our care to your body’s specific needs.

WHAT TO EXPECT

New patient appointments are broken up into two days. Both days are included in your new patient exam cost.  Below we will break down what to expect each day.

During your initial visit, Dr. Tyler offers a comprehensive consultation that extends beyond mere conversation. He dedicates this time to thoroughly understanding your or your child’s health history, your family’s health concerns, and the goals you aspire to achieve through chiropractic care. This deep dive into your child’s well-being is not just about addressing symptoms but about uncovering the root cause of the issue. Expect this personalized consultation to last approximately 30 minutes.

Exams & INSiGHT Neurological Scans

Following the consultation, we proceed with a series of targeted chiropractic evaluations. These are not ordinary exams; they are meticulously designed to gather detailed information about your child’s current health status. Expect the chiropractic evaluation and exams to last 15 minutes.

In addition, we incorporate 2 or 3 state-of-the-art neuro-INSiGHT scans into our assessment process (no radiation is involved). This advanced technology allows us to gain invaluable insights into the state of you or your child’s central nervous system. The integration of exam results and neuro-scan findings is pivotal in crafting a tailored care plan that addresses your child’s specific needs. This holistic approach ensures that we are not just treating symptoms but fostering a foundation for lasting health and wellness. Expect the neurological scans to last 15 minutes.

Day one is scheduled to be 60 minutes.

Following your initial visit, a customized care plan is carefully crafted for your child, tailored to the unique findings of their chiropractic exam, neuro-scan, and health history. Our sophisticated Care Planning System takes these critical factors into account, ensuring the creation of the IDEAL care plan designed specifically for your child’s health needs.

Report of Findings

In a detailed session, Dr. Tyler will review and interpret all the data collected during the first visit. This meeting is an excellent opportunity for you to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of your child’s health status. Dr. Tyler will discuss the customized care plan, providing a clear roadmap to healing and wellness. You’ll learn not only the steps involved but also the expected timeline for achieving health milestones. The report of findings is expected to be 20-25 minutes.

Adjustment

Utilizing gentle, effective techniques, Dr. Tyler performs adjustments aimed at alleviating interference and stress within the nervous system. These adjustments are pivotal, acting as the catalyst for your child’s healing process. Beyond the immediate focus on health, adjustments may offer additional benefits, such as improved sleep, increased energy, and an overall sense of vitality. Get ready to witness a transformation that brings more joy and fulfillment into your or your child’s life. The adjustment is expected to be 5-10 minutes.

Expect Change.
Experience Miracles.

I earned my bachelor’s degree at Utah State University (Magna Cum Laude) and my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Logan University (Summa Cum Laude), which despite it’s name isn’t here in Logan, Utah – it’s in St. Louis, Missouri. At Logan University I had the honor of being selected to train in a very specialized, highly sought-after pediatric rotation under Dr. Allison Harvey. Doctor Harvey was named Pediatric Chiropractor of the Year for 2022 by the American Chiropractic Association Council.

I have completed the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association’s (ICPA) Webster Technique certification.  This is specialized training in caring for pregnant women.  Other ICPA courses I’ve completed are Basic and Advanced Infant and Child Assessment, and Cranial Evaluation and Adjusting.

In my last semester of schooling, I pursued outside education and specialization in pediatrics by completing the Pediatric Experience certification course.  Doctors who complete this course are members of the PX Docs network found at pxdocs.com.  We are particularly prepared to care for children and families with neuro-developmental challenges such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing issues, and more.

I believe general chiropractic is helpful; but when you tap into and really focus on the neurological impact of chiropractic and improve neuro-communication, that is where miracles happen.
