Pediatric, Prenatal, and Family Chiropractor Serving Logan, Utah

Chiropractic care is a natural, holistic alternative to what mainstream medicine has to offer. Chiropractic care, at its core, is the exploration of how the nervous system intricately influences the body. The nervous system’s primary role is to coordinate and control the functions of every cell, tissue, and organ, including the complex operations of the brain. 🧠 Rather than focusing solely on isolated symptoms, chiropractic care seeks to understand what’s going on beneath the surface and enhance the overall functionality of the nervous system.

By addressing the nervous system, chiropractic care frequently yields improvements in various aspects of well-being, such as sleep issues, stress management, anxiety, emotional balance, and behavior regulation.

Why Us?

Serving Logan, Utah

Chiropractors are often perceived as holistic pain relief specialists, and while this holds some truth, the narrative extends far beyond addressing low back and neck pain. At Ideal Family Chiropractic located in North Logan, Utah, we aren’t your run-of-the-mill low back pain chiropractor. We will concentrate on things that may be overlooked elsewhere. Distinguishing ourselves, we leverage cutting-edge technology like Insight Scanning to delve deeper into the intricacies of the nervous system. These NASA-Approved scanners show us where the nervous system is struggling to function optimally. By pinpointing these critical zones, we use the principles of neuroplasticity in conjunction with our adjustments to achieve transformative change and improvement in our patients!

Why INSiGHT Scanning?

Serving Logan, Utah

Insight Scanning technology is a NASA-Approved technology that shows us three separate and important views of nervous system function. These scans are completed in about 10 minutes. There is no radiation associated with them.

1. Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
HRV shows us how much adaptive reserve your body has to respond to stress. We can also see how balanced the gas and brake pedals of your central nervous system are. A lack of balance between the gas and brake (sympathetic and parasympathetic) is called dysautonomia, or dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system.

2. Electromyography (EMG)
EMG is a measure of energy used while sitting at rest. This shows us if there is any dysfunction with the motor nerves that control posture and if they are using too much or too little energy. When there is unbalanced or abnormal energy usage, this is called dysponesis.

3. Thermography
Thermography is a measure of skin temperature. The nerves that control temperature of the skin are autonomic nerves. When the body is in a sympathetic state (think running away from a bear), the body produces heat and wants to release it which causes warmer skin. When the skin temperature is inconsistent or warmer in certain areas over the spine, it suggests dysautonomia.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is where Dr. Tyler will sit down with you for a consultation.  He will listen to your health history, concerns, goals, and will dig deep to get to the root of the problem.  This will take longer than the 4 minutes your general practitioner spends with you.

Doing various chiropractic exams will help us to gather more information about what’s going on.  We will also perform a neuro-scan to understand the state of your central nervous system.  The scan and exam findings are a crucial part to formulating a care plan.

The customized care plan will be created for each individual patient.  This plan is unique to your chiropractic exam findings, neuro-scan findings, and health history.  We use a Care Planning System that factors in those variables to create the IDEAL care plan customized for your needs!

Dr. Tyler will go over all of the findings from the first appointment and explain what they mean.  This is a great time to answer any questions you may have.  The customized care plan will be presented and you will finally have a clear path to healing and health, and you’ll even know how long it will take.

Dr. Tyler will use techniques that are gentle and safe to achieve the desired outcome.  The adjustments will be focused on removing interference and stress from the nervous system.  The adjustments are the catalyst for healing.  Adjustments can come with exciting side effects such as better sleep, more energy, and putting a little skip in your step.

Experience Miracles.

I earned my bachelor’s degree at Utah State University (Magna Cum Laude) and my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Logan University (Summa Cum Laude), which despite it’s name isn’t here in Logan, Utah – it’s in St. Louis, Missouri. At Logan University I had the honor of being selected to train in a very specialized, highly sought-after pediatric rotation under Dr. Allison Harvey. Doctor Harvey was named Pediatric Chiropractor of the Year for 2022 by the American Chiropractic Association Council.

I have completed the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association’s (ICPA) Webster Technique certification.  This is specialized training in caring for pregnant women.  Other ICPA courses I’ve completed are Basic and Advanced Infant and Child Assessment, and Cranial Evaluation and Adjusting.

In my last semester of schooling, I pursued outside education and specialization in pediatrics by completing the Pediatric Experience certification course.  Doctors who complete this course are members of the PX Docs network found at pxdocs.com.  We are particularly prepared to care for children and families with neuro-developmental challenges such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing issues, and more.

I believe general chiropractic is helpful; but when you tap into and really focus on the neurological impact of chiropractic and improve neuro-communication, that is where miracles happen.
